Job Overview:

The Job Shoppe is hiring multiple Machinist's for a company in Windsor that specializes in custom, precision factory automation solutions. As a Machinist you will use innovative processes on a variety of different equipment types.

Location: Windsor, ON
Position Type: Full-Time
Shifts: All shift rotation of days, afternoons and midnights. Overtime as required.
Hourly Compensation: Up to $29/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing:
Verify and identify materials for size, shape and type according to engineering drawings
Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Monitor the performance of machinery to ensure accuracy
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
Complete inspection reports prior to the job being removed from the machine
Operation of forklifts and cranes
Comply with Health and Safety regulations, including regulations surrounding crane and forklift training and use
Perform all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
5+ years of relevant work experience using CNC machinery, horizontal lathes, saws, grinders and the use of bridgeports
Experience operating a forklift and a crane. Must be willing and able to obtain forklift and crane certification
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Strong mechanical problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of machining equipment and software including Heidenhain nd Fanuc controllers, milling, grinding, and fabrication would be considered an asset
Experience in a machine shop would be considered an asset
Ability to work shift work (days and afternoons or days, afternoons, and nights), overtime, and weekends as required
Possessing and utilizing your own tools for daily tasks (ex. micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.)
Machining software knowledge, including Lemoine, MasterCam, and Smirt would be considered an asset
