Responsibilities
The Lasalle Payroll Specialist will:
Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees in Canada and the U.S. Calculate and prepare salary adjustments, overtime, severance or other special payments for several payroll groups, according to company policies and applicable legislation.
Issue Records of Employment and respond to Service Canada requests.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure that payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific compensation policies, while complying with all legislation.
Reconcile and process contributions and payments, including 401(k), group RRSPs, and all other group benefits for Canada and the US.
Administer employee benefits.
Provide Finance Department with payroll reports and details necessary to complete accounting entries.
Recommend and implement improvements to payroll processing.
Act as departmental expert on payroll and timekeeping policies and best practices.

Qualifications
For this Payroll Specialist position in Lasalle, we are looking for someone with:
a DEC in accounting, or equivalent
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification is an asset.
4 to 5 years' experience in payroll processing for companies in Canada and the United States.
Solid knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation, employment standards, tax rules and year-end reporting processes.
Experience with Ultipro, now known as UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), is a distinct advantage.
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
Bilingual English-French.
