About the role:

Our Client is a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm committed to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day work of our law firm and will be working with a team of lawyers, paralegals, and administrative staff. This individual will be responsible for handling all aspects of Residential Real Estate transactions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in law or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or is licensed to be licensed to practice law in Ontario.
  2. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  3. Strong legal research and writing skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Must-Have Skills:

  • The ideal candidate would transition to being a file-carrying Real Estate lawyer, which would include management of files from beginning to end at various stages of purchases, sales, mortgages.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in legal field; or is licensed to practice law in Ontario.
  • Drafting of Requisitions, Purchase and Sale documents, Mortgage documents, Teraview instruments/
  • Completion of files from inception to completion
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, financial institutions, title insurance companies, land registry offices, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and other lawyers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing, oral, and email.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Software: Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Closer and Teraview essential.

Remuneration:
