Contract Specialist

Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Contract Specialist for a 6 months contract in Toronto. This position is a hybrid role 3 days a week. Thursday and Monday are mandatory, the third day is flexible. High potential for contract extension is possible.
Pay rate: $20.63 - $30.50 / Hour
Working hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm

Responsibilities
As a Contract Specialist your duties will include, but are not limited to:
âPreparing contractual agreements using current company templates
âAnalyzing contracts to ensure they comply with company policies
âLiaising with internal business partners and external suppliers
âNegotiating with suppliers to secure best terms and pricing for the company
Qualifications
â2-4 years of previous experience with contracting best practices, business decision-making, in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility
âPost-Secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience
âStrong market awareness
Nice to have
âApplicable Contract Management, Procurement, Legal experience and/or certification
âExperience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
âFinance and budgeting experience
âExperience in a financial institution
âFamiliarity and experience with Professional Services
âFamiliarity and experience with IT services
âContract Reviewing/Creation Experience
âWord, Excel, PowerPoint
âOutlook Experience
âComfortable in a high volume environment
