Overview:

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the organization through a significant digital evolution. This individual will be responsible for the lifecycle of the transformation from initial conception to implementation and evaluation. The transformation is rooted in a new member management system to enhance operational efficiency, member engagement, and overall community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Implementation

  • Lead cross-functional teams in planning, organizing, and implementing, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Support an evolving project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Coordinate internal resource availability and allocation, including third parties/vendors, to support the flawless execution of project work streams
  • Ensure that the project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, proactively communicating with leadership to raise issues and solutions
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation of processes and progress
  • Oversee internal user acceptance testing and system roll-out and training for  launch
  • Assist in the data migration and database clean up for membership and programs
  • Manage the “go-live” and post “go-live” transition
  • Manage basic user support, system testing and training for internal users

    Vendor Management: 

    • Support  the procurement process including RFP evaluation, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
    • Ensure effective partnerships and delivery of high-quality solutions. Manage the relationship with the vendor and relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
    • Meet with vendor to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

      Risk Management:

      • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful implementation of digital projects.

        Performance Tracking: 

        • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and success of digital initiatives, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
        • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
        • Assist in development and delivering of training for key staff in the organization.

          Qualifications:

          • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
          • Proven experience in managing digital transformation projects, preferably within the non-profit or community services sector with products such as Activenet, Perfect Mind, Club Automation, Traction Rec, etc.
          • Strong project management skills with a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferred.
          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
          • Proficiency in evaluating, selecting, and implementing digital solutions and technologies.
          • Demonstrable ability of delivery in relation to cost, time and quality of outcome.
          • Collaborative cross function/department working.
          • Effective influencing and negotiating skills
          • Methodical approach to work, attentive to detail, able to plan, prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work without close supervision.
          • Ability to analyze and interpret complex problems and generate and find innovative solutions to these.
          • Ability to write accurate, concise and relevant reports to senior management.
          • Ability to foster good relations with internal and external stakeholders.
          • Ability/experience of managing budgets and resources for projects
          • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
          • Understanding of the Jewish community, its values, and traditions is advantageous.

            Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per year
