We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our Ethylene Two (E2) Electrical Team located at our Joffre Site. This team is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and availability. The team provides day to day maintenance support to ensure equipment meets the demanding production levels of the plant.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Responsible Care® Standards Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment in a production environment Execute repairs to plant equipment in a timely manner Perform electrical installations in accordance with standard practices and the Canadian Electrical Code Maintain equipment records using computer maintenance management systems Coordinate and direct the activities of others during plant and unit shutdowns Establish new and continually improve existing preventative maintenance programs Work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment Support work assignments in other units

What We Are Looking For:

A valid Alberta and interprovincial Electrician Journeyman Certificate with a minimum of 5+ years post-journeyman maintenance experience Strong commitment to Responsible Care Principles through excellence in occupational safety, process safety, and environmental stewardship Experience working in a petrochemical or gas plant maintenance environment Knowledge and experience with motor-operated valves Experience working with Electrical heat trace systems Experience working with 600V / 4160V / 13.8 kV switchgear and associated systems. Knowledgeable of DCS (distributed control systems) and PLC's (programmable logic controllers). Experience working with protection relays Knowledge of UPS/Battery and Emergency Generator systems Experience working with motors and motor controls, including Variable Frequency Drives Must be proficient with industrial electrical Safety Codes of Practice Ability to troubleshoot problems, provide recommendations, and implement short- and long-term solutions Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined Operations, Engineering, Trades, and Planning teams Work with minimal supervision, independently or in a team setting Advanced computer skills, including SAP and MS Office suite

Additional Information:

Relocation will be considered for this position Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience This role requires up to 10% travel Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors in all seasons Positions will include some lifting and climbing of ladders within various levels of the units Overtime and callouts are a requirement of the role due to the 24 hour per day plant operation In order to fulfil the duties of this role, the successful candidate will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment. Candidate must successfully pass a fit test and be physically able to wear a respirator The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver's license
