- Leading the development and implementation of site capital projects in accordance with BASF corporate requirements and generally accepted good engineering practices, leading tasks such as creating and coordinating management of change (MOC) processes, updating P&IDs, conducting pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs), creating purchase requisitions, analyzing and approving invoices for payment, and conducting hazard analysis.
- Working closely with operations, technology, design, EHS, consultants, procurement, and contractors to ensure the safe and effective implementation of plant expansion, process debottlenecking, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Monitoring, assessing, improving, and implementing the site's mechanical integrity program to meet corporate BASF and site requirements.
- Overseeing the development of predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Supporting operations during production disruptions by troubleshooting process issues and taking ownership of the issue until resolution.
- Acting as a backup maintenance supervisor and engineering manager during their absence.

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution, preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in project and construction management, with at least 3 - 5 years of experience with manufacturing processes. Chemical manufacturing experience will be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and change management skills, with effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Office and computer literacy, and knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of construction codes and regulations will be considered an asset, e.g., TSSA, API, ASME.
- P. Eng or eligible for license, PMP certification and previous supervisory experience or leadership training will also be considered an asset.
