Must haves:

  • Large Identity and Management Systems
  • 10+ years' experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users
  • 10+ years progressive QA experience on COTS and / or SaaS based systems
  • 10+ years' experience designing, developing, writing and executing test cases catering to large application implementations
  • Extensive experience with testing web apps and working with HAR files
  • Experience testing RESTful API implementations by using tools such as Postman Databases and the SQL Language, JSON, XML, XSLT and XML schemas
  • EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques

Description

Role: Intermediate Quality Assurance Specialist

  • Work with project team members at the requirements and design phase to develop test strategies, test plans and test cases
  • Provide expert advice and develop test strategies and plans for all recommended types of testing, ensuring coverage using a requirements traceability matrix
  • Develop and execute test scenarios, manual test scripts and participate test data preparation
  • Manage defect identification, vendor defect resolution and defect tracking in Azure DevOps/VSTS
  • Leverage Azure DevOps/VSTS to provide testing status reporting and issue summary reports
  • Write Quality Assurance and Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to ensure QA deliverables match the project scope and timelines
  • Participate in defect review meetings and provide analysis as requested
  • Functional and non-functional testing
  • AODA Testing (WCAG 2.0. Compliance)
  • Mobile Testing
  • Security Testing
  • Test Data Management
  • Test Environment Management
  • Data migration testing
  • Other testing as required
  • Back up other members of the QA team as required to cover for absences
  • Brief Project Managers and IAM management team on test strategies, test plans and test results

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Intermediate QA Specialists:

Large Identity and Management Systems 30%

  • 10+ years' experience triaging, analyzing, diagnosing / troubleshooting, evaluating options, and resolving quality assurance problems, ideally those related to identity and access management systems

Large Application Implementation 30%

  • 10+ years' experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users
  • 10+ years progressive QA experience on COTS and / or SaaS based systems
  • 10+ years' experience designing, developing, writing and executing test cases catering to large application implementations

Quality Assurance 30%

  • Experience developing test strategies and test plans
  • Extensive experience with testing web apps and working with HAR files
  • Experience testing RESTful API implementations by using tools such as Postman Databases and the SQL Language, JSON, XML, XSLT and XML schemas
  • EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques
  • Experience with Accessibility Ontario Disability Act (AODA) testing by using tools such as WAVE
  • Experience in analyzing test results and submitting detail bug descriptions using defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps/VSTS
  • Experience with ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity Management
  • Experience with testing tools, such as Azure DevOps / Visual Studio Team Server (VSTS)

Stakeholder Management 10%

  • Experience working with a large team comprising of the Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to ensure QA deliverables timelines are achieved
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration and verbal and written communication skills
