As a User Experience (UX) Writer and Content Designer, you will play a vital role in our client's design team. Your primary responsibility is to create the text that guides and engages their customers. You are both a storyteller and an experience designer, confident in presenting and discussing your work with design partners and stakeholders. Your approach is customer-centric, with design thinking and Human-Centered Design methodologies ingrained in your workflow.

This is a contract until January 31, 2025. It is hybrid, requiring 2 in office days per week in downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities
⢠Collaborate with the DCX Experience Strategy team and project partners to define business objectives that inform content strategy.
⢠Manage assigned UX Writing and Content Design projects.
⢠Conduct competitive experience evaluations and analyze customer data to set benchmarks for content strategy and design.
⢠Provide recommendations on project requirements and contribute to project scoping and planning.
⢠Work closely with designers, accessibility specialists, technical consultants, developers, quality engineers, and legal counsel to create seamless customer experiences.
⢠Develop relevant and strategic content, writing clear, accurate, and compelling user interface text.
⢠Adhere to all content governance systems, workflows, and standards, including brand style, tone, and voice guidelines, ensuring alignment with TD's design system.
⢠Present UX Writing and Content Design concepts collaboratively with fellow designers.
⢠Coordinate copy translation, approval documentation, and final delivery of MCD artifacts.
⢠Contribute to the development and culture of the Digital Customer Experience team.

Qualifications
Must Have:
⢠3+ years of experience as a User Experience (UX) Writer (not in copywriting, marketing, or branding).
⢠Understanding of interactive design, usability principles, and the role of content strategy in user experience.
⢠Knowledge of Human-Centered Design and related disciplines (e.g., Experience Strategy, Visual Design, UX Writing, Design Research, Interaction Design, Accessibility).
⢠Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
⢠Collaborative and inclusive team player.
⢠Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional business environment.
⢠Strong relationship-building skills.
⢠Aptitude for digital technologies.
⢠Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
⢠Strong portfolio showcasing a range of User Experience (UX) Writing abilities.

Nice to Have:
⢠Experience in a design-related discipline (e.g., Industrial Design, User-Centered Design, Visual Design, Design Strategy, Design Management, Human Factors, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction).
⢠Experience with financial digital products.
⢠Skills in script writing and video production.
⢠Content strategy experience.
⢠Knowledge of online marketing, advertising, and other interactive experiences.
⢠Degree in writing or design.
