Mining Engineer or Geoscience Co-Op/Intern
A Mining Engineer or Geoscience Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to assist with special project design, execution, and management. Projects will focus on improving facility efficiency and final product quality. Mosaic Potash Esterhazy K3 is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton and one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines in the world. Located at Highway 22. Esterhazy, SK S0A 0X0
Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

September 9 - December 20, 2024
Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically,36-40 hrs a week on site.
What will you do?
Day to day duties will include:
Develop, evaluate and formulate solutions in projects focused on improving the quality of mining processes.Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractorsParticipation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignmentAdhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies
What do you need for this role?
Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mining, Geological Engineering or Geoscience70% GPA or higher1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is requiredPrevious internship or co-op experience is preferredReliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.Basic computer skills are requiredExperience working in a team environment is a mustFamiliarity with an industrial environment is highly desirableEffective verbal communication skills is a plusPhysical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
