Wash Bay Attendant (Exterior Washes) - Both Full and Part-Time Openings

Red Arrow is currently looking for both full-time and part-time Wash Bay Attendants to join our team. The full-time position will work Monday through Friday, approximately 30-35 hours per week. The part-time position will work weekends, approximately 15-16 hours per week. Shifts are 3:30 pm to midnight. Additional hours are available for vacation or sick coverage. Reporting to the Shop Manager, the selected candidate is responsible for cleaning the exterior of our motor coaches.

Responsibilities

  • Pressure wash the exterior of the motor coaches including the luggage compartment, rims, tires, wheels, etc., as well as empty the waste tank
  • May be required to check tires and rims for issues, check fluid levels
  • May be required to drive the coach bus from the bus barn or parking lot to the wash bay and return it to its proper parking space
  • Be aware of Health & Safety issues and ensure all staff is able to work in a safe manner, reporting issues as necessary
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Empty garbage cans, clean walkways, general tidy up during down time

Qualifications

  • Previous detailing, janitorial or labourer experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with larger vehicles preferred
  • Must have an unrestricted class 5 driver's license or higher; class 1, 2 or 3 considered an asset
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs and spend the majority of your shift standing, bending and reaching while washing the units
  • Ability to work in potentially extreme hot and cold weather, in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Satisfactory criminal record check and clear drug and alcohol results
  • The successful candidate will be working in a shop environment and will be required to wear steel-toed work boots and be able to stand for extended periods
  • Weekend availability required
