Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Wage:  $18.00/hr
Status:  Full Time
Schedule: Flexible Shifts. Days, evenings and weekends.
Location: 123-1640 Electra Blvd, Victoria Airport
Important Information: Food preparation experience an asset.

Job Summary

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for making serving food and drink, cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports.

As a Cashier/Barista, you will:

  • Make a positive first impression: smiles, eye contact, tone of voice and thank you.

  • Responds to customers with an appropriate sense of urgency suggesting products, combos or sizes appropriately. 

  • Resolves customer concerns and complaints in a friendly and timely manner.

  • Always follows Tim Hortons standards and guidelines when preparing product for our customers.

  • Prepares soups, sandwiches, bagels, food and drink as required.

  • Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded. Follow standard instruction of procedure for refunds.

  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer follows overage/shortage standards

  • Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures

  • Clean dining environment maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures

  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements

 

  • About you:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent decision-making ability and problem solving

  • Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset

  • Friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Team player that works productively with others.
