THE POSITION

CSEC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Security Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being and protection of our employees, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety and security management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create and enforce policies to minimize risks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement safety and security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular safety and security audits to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities
  • Act as a steward of safety for all and deliver safety and security procedures to all guests and staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement crisis management plans
  • Investigate and report on safety and security incidents, including accidents, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update safety and security manuals, documents, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Monitor security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms, and promptly respond to any identified issues or alarms.
  • Administration of access control system, access badge issuance, and assisting Security & Parking Operations Supervisor with parking pass management
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in safety and security to continuously improve protocols and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Proficient in the use of security systems, such as access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms.
