About This Role

                                                                                                         

The Treasury and Financial Information team is responsible for accounting of covering transactions related to foreign exchange and interest rate risk as well as derivative-related transactions.

Reporting to the Group Leader, Treasury and Financial Information, the analyst will assist the team in entering transactions and presenting treasury-related financial information. The analystâs main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing daily journal entries for treasury transactions, including derivative-related accounting transactions
  • Actively supporting the Treasury Department with the factoring process
  • Preparing treasury transaction receipts recorded on a daily basis in the treasury system (Reval)
  • Supporting the team in preparing accounting and daily controls
  • Generating monthly, quarterly and annual financial analyses and reports
  • Prepare quarterly notes to the financial statement
  • Participating in business process improvement initiatives related to treasury operations

SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Thorough, detail-oriented work approach
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Willingness to learn and sense of initiative
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel
  • Knowledge of Oracle and HFM systems considered an asset
  • Experience with Reval or another treasury system considered an asset
  • Experience in derivatives accounting (IFRS 9) considered an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English)
