Miller Maintenance’s Electrical Services Department proudly provides routine and emergency maintenance on municipal and provincial electrical infrastructure in addition to construction services for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual looking for steady, challenging, and rewarding work in a positive environment. Miller Maintenance Electrical Services proudly provides maintenance and construction services for the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO), municipalities, heavy industry and commercial and institutional partners. A wide array of infrastructure, commercial, and industrial construction and maintenance projects allows members to be challenged, while in a close knit, team environment.     

 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician License
  • Valid Class G drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Class AZ or DZ license with clean driver's abstract
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician or associated certifications
  • OTM Book 7 knowledge and implementation
  • Knowledge of MTO and municipal specifications pertaining to electrical work
  • Experience with elevated work platforms, bucket trucks, or similar equipment
  • Construction experience in infrastructure, commercial, and industrial environment
  • Ability to travel, be on call
Day in a Life

You will be providing electrical troubleshooting services to Miller and customer equipment, facilities, and plants, installing, programming, and maintaining traffic signal and roadway lighting systems. As well as performing power distribution work including consumer services, switchboards, MCC’s, and transformers, you will also diagnose 3 phase electrical systems and install/connect electric motors, VFD’s, soft starters, and associated control wiring. Attention to detail and craftsmanship will be critical and expected when conducting electrical duties.

Overall safety will be your number one priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, subcontractors, and consultants while working within the Ontario and Canadian Electrical Codebook guidelines
