We are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical Department in our Thunder Bay office.

Your Contribution

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, your responsibilities would be:

Responsible for project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for deep and shallow foundations (static , seismic and dynamic machine loadings);Infrastructure (new and replacements, including sewer and watermains, pipelines, telecommunication towers, highways, bridges, railways);Slope and earth structure stability, tailings dams, hydrogeology studies, stormwater control facilities, in-situ testing;Instrumentation, construction inspection and laboratory testing.You will also play a key role on the engineering team providing leadership and mentoring of the team members;Prepare Technical proposals and write engineering reports;Business Development, client liaison and management.
Your Profile

University degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering;Completion of advanced or specialized university courses in geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering (Masters’ degree an asset);10-15+ years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience;Experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities (asset);Current registration with MTO's RAQs for foundations and/or tunneling disciplines an asset;Registration with PEO;Fluent English, written and spoken;Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can manage a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians;Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
