Job Summary

Z'gamok Construction LP (ZCLP) is searching for a Full-Time Truck & Coach Technician in Nairn Center with experience and a proven track record of safety and success within a Mining & Construction environment.

As a Truck & Coach Technician, you are considered an integral member of our team and will be responsible for maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting and diagnosing defects and offering top-quality performance in a safe and professional manner. The successful candidate will also perform repairs on Heavy Equipment, Automotive, small engines and crusher and screening plants.

This position is subject to ZCLP's personnel and administrative policies, relevant client policies and procedures and relevant Laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for diagnosing the source of any malfunctions and performing required repairs.
  • Examining vehicles to determine if additional safety or service is required.
  • Performing brake, safety, and PM inspections.
  • Conducting road tests and safety inspections.
  • Review and complete work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complying with all Health & Safety regulations in the workplace and following all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Maintain the required tools for the job.

Qualifications

  • A valid Truck and Coach Technician Licence (310T)
  • Knowledge of Kenworth/Peterbilt systems; PACCAR MX Engines and Cummins Engines would be considered asset.
  • Safety conscious with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and analytical skills with superior attention to detail.
  • High initiative and ability to function effectively as a team player and ability to function without supervision.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of business requirements.
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License.
