Job Duties: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware. Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and other buildings. May prepare cost estimates for clients. Supervise apprentices and other construction workers. Skills Requirements Education: Completion of Secondary school is required Experience: Completion of a minimum of 3-year apprenticeship program OR Minimum 3 or more years of work experience in the relevant field is required.
