Operations Superintendent

Zyrox Mining Ltd. is looking for an experienced Operations Superintendent to join our team. Established placer and hard rock mining operations in Van Anda and the Pemberton Valley, BC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Superintendent is responsible for overseeing pit and process operations between both worksites.
This role will lead the site-based teams and contractors in ensuring all project objectives, and health and safety procedures/regulations are implemented for execution of Zyrox Mining’s projects. The Operations Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities and the short to medium-term schedule.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Manage open-pit operations including drill and blast. Manage open-pit placer operations. Manage project construction and operations, including infrastructure construction, earthworks, crusher operations, processing, and logistics. Oversee a team of staff and contractors to deliver project construction and operation. Review existing operations regularly to reduce costs and improve operational standards. Manage and monitor overall project performance in line with approved project budget and schedule. Ensure escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures are implemented and maintained to meet contractual standards. Provide senior management with weekly reports covering safety, progress, and operating issues. Work with and communicate closely with the ownership group, project managers, team members, vendors, and outside regulators.Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 10 years direct supervisory/management experience in heavy civil and/or mining. Valid BC Mines Shift Boss Certification (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in mining or civil engineering (preferred). Must have a valid driver’s license. Experience working in a remote mining or industrial environment is required. Experience in mineral processing or aggregates production. Detailed understanding of technical aspects of civil and mining, including reading drawings, following QA/QC programs, and survey control. Experience in contract management, budget supervision, customer service and stakeholder management.Salary Range: $100k-$110k per year.
