Due to growth within our company, we are seeking a Custom Furniture Builder to join our team in St. Clements (just outside of Waterloo). Artco's skilled builders bring attention to detail and quality craftsmanship to every Artco product.

This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

WHO WE ARE

Artco has nearly 40 years' experience in manufacturing case goods, upholstered furniture, and millwork for the hospitality industry across North America. Artco specializes in high-end custom furniture for luxury hotels and is part of the Chervin group of companies which also provides high-end custom residential cabinetry, residential furniture, and home décor.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Read and interpret blueprints to create high-quality furniture
Select appropriate materials and tools for each project
Construct and assemble furniture pieces according to specifications
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet design and durability standards
Work with the design team to improve product functionality and aesthetics
Collaborate with other team members to ensure production requirements are met safely and efficiently

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Proven experience as furniture builder or in a similar role an asset
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Good physical condition and endurance
A passion for the core values that are the foundation of our company
BONUS: Further education in carpentry or a relevant field is a plus.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
