Responsibilities
In this Bookkeeper role in Orillia, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, preparing pay stubs, and remitting payroll taxes.
- Prepare financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with all relevant accounting regulations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Bookkeeper role located in Orillia:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function including payroll
- A bachelorâs degree in either business administration or accounting.
- Experience working with QuickBooks or similar ERP systems is a requirement.
