A Brief Job Summary
The position of Glazing Service Technician is responsible for on-site installation and repair of aluminum glazing systems, doors, hardware and glass units in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential settings. This recruitment effort is for an experienced glazier that is interested in joining our busy Service Department in Sudbury, Ontario.
How Will We Help You Grow?-Unionized environment, including comprehensive benefits-Competitive wages-Safety and Technical training-Opportunities for career development-Mobile apps and training programs available to help you develop your skills and advance your career with Flynn What Will You Work On?-Installing, servicing, and repairing doors and door hardware.-Installing, servicing, and repairing various types of glazing systems.-Conducting site investigations and compiling the information required to build competitive quotations.-Constantly updating your technical skills and knowledge and not being afraid to bring your colleagues along for the ride. Who Are We Looking For?-3+ years of experience -Strong mechanical aptitude and prior construction or maintenance experience-Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide solutions-Able to read basic blueprints and product/installation specifications- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.-Able to work collaboratively with other tradespeople (in-house and in the field)-Valid driver's license with a good driving record-Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of this industry-Eager to be constantly improving your knowledge and skills in this industry and always willing to share that knowledge with other members of the team-Good oral and written communication skills, good customer relations, and customer service skills.-Ability to complete all necessary paperwork and phone-based service application entries in a timely manner.
