THE ROLE:
As a SMTS Silicon Design Engineer, you will work with experts in CAD and Methodology to accelerate the use of ML/AI solutions in the Physical Design (PD) flow. You will evaluate and deploy AI/ML EDA tools and features, develop internal predictive and generative AI solutions to improve productivity and design quality.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for physical design implementation on cutting edge process technology. You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills and are willing to take on challenging problems and come up with novel solutions. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accelerate the use of Machine Learning/AI in Physical Design and CAD flowEvaluate and deploy ML/AI EDA tools and features in the design flowDevelop internal ML/AI solutions to improve productivity and design qualitySupport and collaborate with the design teams to enable AI/ML solutions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in PD implementation (Synthesis, Placement, CTS, Route) and toolsExperience and familiarity with ML/AI concepts and frameworks (Python, Pandas, scikit-learn, deep learning libraries), including developing and deploying ML applicationsExperience and familiarity with generative AI and LLM libraries, prompting and knowledge retrieval (RAG), ReAct AgentsExperience with data analysis and visualization using PythonStrong programming and scripting skills with PythonStrong analytical skills and mathematical modeling
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
