Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

At Senior Helpers Kelowna, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized, and dependable in-home care services to seniors in the Okanagan. Through which, we aim to improve the quality of life for our clients, and their families.

We are currently seeking an experience medical professional to join our team and help us expand our community reach and impact.

Position Summary: The Community Outreach (LPN) Nurse will play a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships within the community, generating new client leads, and coordinate in-home client assessments and care plan creation. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for senior care, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with our internal team.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community, including physicians, social workers, and senior service organizations.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and the community, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Attend community events, health fairs, and networking meetings to promote our services and establish relationships.

Client Assessments:

  • Conduct thorough client assessments and determine their care needs and suitability for in-home services.
  • Collaborate with our Client Services Manager to develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients and their families about care options and services.

Qualifications:

  • LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in British Columbia.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in senior care, home health, or a related field.
  • Experience in community outreach would be considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
