Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing parts supplier, is looking for a career-minded Manufacturing Engineer to join their progressive engineering team. A solid background in analyzing manufacturing process plans and the installation of equipment is especially valuable for this role - as is your background as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Plant/Maintenance Engineer in the automotive manufacturing industry.

General Duties & Accountabilities:
  1. Responsible for overseeing and reviewing manufacturing processes.
  2. Ensure a reliable process, a safe environment, a quality product, and an efficient plant.
  3. Assist in the planning, specification, procurement, installation, and launch of all new tooling and equipment required for new programs.
  4. Manage engineering changes to tooling and equipment.
  5. Assist with developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program when required.
  6. Documentation of all processes such as flow chart, operator instructions, PFMEA’s, changeover procedures.
  7. Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
  8. Working with supervisors and quality departments to solve manufacturing and assembly problems.
  9. Manage and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  10. Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
  11. Assist in program launches and ensure successful launches.
  12. Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required.
Key Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree, Technologist, or Technician - or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment installation.
  • Knowledge and experience with automotive manufacturing process plans and asset.
  • Ability to accurately review and analyze manufacturing process plans.
