Position description:

As the Senior Support Mechanic at BIK, your role will be to support the Senior Mechanic carrying out activities related to production.

Our company is dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers and as such, you will be expected to adhere to our production standards. You will also need to report on progress to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic systems commonly used in industrial settings to power equipment such as cranes.
  • Repairing or replacing hydraulic systems in Trucks and Cranes.
  • Diagnosing problems with hydraulic systems and repairing them using hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Inspecting hydraulic systems to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently at all times.
  • Installing or repairing hydraulic components such as cylinders, pumps, motors, or valves.
  • Installing hydraulic hoses and fittings onto hydraulic cylinders, motors, and other machines.
  • Repairing hydraulic equipment by replacing seals, gaskets, filters, and other components.
  • Installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems, including power steering systems, brake systems, lift gates, and fluid couplings.
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on hydraulic systems.
  • Assisting the senior Mechanic in assembling of Hydraulic System components

Position requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Crane/Truck Mechanic/Technician background.
  • Mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics.
  • Self-starter with the initiative to advance.
  • Diploma / High vocational certificate of mechanic or Auto mechanical would be an asset.
  • Experience in hydraulic system and cranes.
  • Understanding the function of the Hydraulic System components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
