Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Senior Scale Technician, you will be responsible for efficient repair, installation, and service of the local service office locations, carrying out scale calibrations, reporting, and customer service.

Work Experience:

- Customer Service

- Timely reporting for work

- Ability to consistently lift 50lbs indoor/outdoors

- Mechanical aptitude

- Knowledge and use of hand tools, jacks, etc.

- Basic computer skills

- Attention to detail, following up and verify data for records

- WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Confined Space Entry, Lock Out/Tag Out, P.P.E., and all other relevant safety training

Hold a valid class G drivers license, and maintain a clean drivers abstract. D or A drivers license (Beneficial asset)

- Technical knowledge of scale repair, installation and calibration

- Minimum 5 years scale service experience as scale technician

- Recognized technician (Beneficial asset)

Welding (Beneficial asset)

Duties:
- Receive on the job training whenever required.

- Attend and receive original equipment manufacturer and third party training.

- Able to troubleshoot and service complex load cell systems without supervision. Perform deliveries, installations and calibrations

- Install new indicators, printers and other peripherals.

- Complete all required documents within the required time frames – time sheets, service orders, calibration reports, etc.

- Ensure daily and bi weekly time sheets are submitted in a timely manner.

- Comply with all Measurement Canada legislative requirements.

- Customer relations, and reporting of complaints and comments to CSA, supervisor or Service Manager

- Implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Measurement Canada QMS and the ISO 17025 QMS

- Able to operate light duty vehicles in compliance with company policies and all applicable Highway and Safety regulations.

Maintain presentable appearance wearing company uniform

- Identify departures from the QMS policies and procedures, and to initiate actions to prevent or minimize these departures by submitting nonconformance forms to the Program Coordinator

- Responsible for complying with all company policies, including Health & Safety, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Transportation, and General Company Rules.

- Able to perform field welding as may be required is considered an asset

- Advise customers on the benefits of regular maintenance and calibrations

- Responsible for email/scanning of work orders to service advisor, accounting and service manager

- Ensure that all expenses are submitted correctly and with approval.

- Able to work outside variable hours to accommodate customer demands.

- Overnight travel is required to maximize efficiency while performing regular duties
