Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Power Engineer (4th Class) is responsible for boiler operation of a low pressure boiler, for monitoring and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems in the plant and for performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary. Perform care and service to the manufacturing equipment in satisfactory operating condition and reduce the occurrence of breakdowns
# Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild manufacturing machinery as well as hydraulic and electrical equipment
# Accountable for the preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages or breakdowns
# Adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations
# 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (Alberta) required, coupled with two years of experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools. Basic computer knowledge and math skills and the ability to communicate in English both verbally, and in writing. Minimum one year of related manufacturing (processing) experience required.
