What We’re Looking For
Novatech is seeking a new graduate to join our established and growing Public Sector Infrastructure municipal engineering team. We are looking for someone who appreciates using civil engineering concepts to design sustainable linear infrastructure and/or enjoys working in a construction contract administration role. If you desire growth in a variety of municipal engineering projects and have the energetic spirit conducive to a dynamic team environment, this may be an ideal fit.

What You’ll Do
~ Assist with sewer and watermain design, roadway geometric design and grading, and the design of active transportation infrastructure.

~ Assist with the preparation of detailed design drawings and reports suitable for review agency approvals and construction; aid the project engineer in completing approvals applications.

~ Complete quantity take-offs, construction cost estimates and assist with preparation of Tender documents.

~ Help with the administration of construction contracts, including attending site meetings, as well as producing change orders, site instructions, contemplated change notices, progress payment certificates and as-built drawings.

~ Support multi-disciplinary project team members to ensure that the designs produced are consistent with and align with the overall objectives of the project.

Skills & Experience You’ll Need
Knowledge in the following software: AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal, written communication, and technical writing skill; French language skills are an asset.
Task oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
A commitment to excellence and high quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well with a multi-disciplined team.
Field experience in survey and/or inspection is an asset.
A valid Province of Ontario driver’s license.
Education and Accreditation Required
~ Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, with future eligibility for P.Eng.
