Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW


The Canadian Banking Compliance (CBC) Department is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance across TD's Canadian Personal and Business Banking businesses. In accordance with the TD Global Compliance Department Mandate and Global Compliance Operating Framework, the CBC Department acts as a second line of defense responsible for independent regulatory compliance and conduct risk management oversight by promoting a culture of integrity, ethics, and regulatory compliance

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Canadian Banking Compliance, the Intern / Co-op position will support the team execute various elements of the CBC Program elements with a focus on issues management and reporting. Other accountabilities may include supporting the department's Monitoring & Surveillance program by i ndependently monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of business regulatory compliance controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Law, Management, or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
  • Ability to work independently, think critically and make decisions
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly organized and flexible in prioritizing various work demands
  • Able to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships that impact positively on the execution of deliverables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September 3rd - December 20th 2024 .
