Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a  Pipefitter, Journeyperson .
This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
5-8+ years of verifiable marine or industrial pipefitting experience
Experience working in marine/industrial industry is considered an asset
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Read and interpret marine or industrial blue prints, pipe detail arrangement drawings and work from standard and metric specifications
Layout, fabricate, fit up a pipe assembly including fittings, flanges, and valves utilizing various tools and equipment
Instruct and mentor apprentices
Candidates will be required to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms; stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces, inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
