As a Jr Portfolio & Resourcing Analyst summer student, you are not just a cog in the machine but the very gear that keeps the project machinery running smoothly, ensuring compliance with company standards and propelling the organization towards its strategic goals. You possess a natural inclination towards data analysis and critical thinking and you are able to transform complex datasets into strategic insights. You have exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail that ensures no aspect of a project is overlooked. You are capable of navigating the dynamic nature of project management and adjusting strategies as needed to meet evolving project demands. Not just identifying issues but actively seeking out solutions and improvements to enhance project outcomes.
Project Documentation Management :
Update and manage PMO and Project SharePoint sites .
Maintain and organize project artifact templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Audit and Compliance Reporting :
Assist in PMO Audit and Compliance reporting by collecting relevant data and ensuring adherence to standards.
Collaborate on PMO portfolio reporting using Power BI or other reporting tools.
Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Project Center Administration :
Support the Project Center by:
Adding resources to projects.
Updating project plans.
Troubleshooting project-related issues.
As a Jr Portfolio & Resourcing Analyst, you bring fresh perspectives, eagerness to learn, and a foundation of skills that are essential for the role. New Insights : You come with up-to-date knowledge from your recent education or certifications, which can provide new insights into project management practices.
Being early in your career, you are often more familiar with the latest project management software and tools, which can be beneficial in streamlining processes.
Supportive Role : You can take on supportive roles in the PMO, assisting senior analysts and project managers, which helps in building a collaborative team environment.
Analytical Skills : Even at a junior level, you possess analytical skills that are crucial for reviewing data and supporting decision-making processes.
Attention to Detail : You are trained to pay close attention to detail, ensuring that project documentation and reporting are accurate and thorough.
Communication Skills : You can communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, which is essential for the coordination of project activities.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in project managementor a related field.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
Understanding of PMO software tools such as MS Project Online .
Effective communication with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Technical Literacy : Familiarity with project management tools and software.
