**Job Overview:**

We are seeking multiple Chief Mates or First Mates to join our team on the Edmonton Queen Riverboat. We operate passenger cruises on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You will work to ensure the safety of the ship and our passengers, and provide a delightful experience for our beloved customers.

We primarily sail on evenings and weekends.

The Edmonton Queen is a 1995 shallow draft river cruise vessel, paddle wheels with bow thruster, 399 capacity, 51m length, 750 gross tonnes.

**Duties:**

- Assist in the sailing and operation of the vessel

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on deck and below deck

- Manage deckhands and other staff as required

- Perform docking and undocking procedures

- Provide excellent customer service to passengers

- Assist with navigation under the direction of the Captain

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures

**Experience:**

- Prior experience as a Chief Mate or First Mate or similar role preferred

- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with passengers

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior crew members
