Gas Bar Multi-Site Manager

We currently have an opening for a full-time Gas Bar Multi-Site Manager at our Administration Office in Red Deer, Alberta. The position is based out of Red Deer and will involve travelling to other Central Alberta Co-op Gas Bar locations. As a Gas Bar Multi-Site Manager, you are reporting to the Division Manager and will be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH of assigned gas bars locations. Ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding: Safe food handling, sanitation, merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety, Loss prevention and environment due diligence.
Full-time: 40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends- mornings (5:00am start), afternoons and evenings (up to 11:00pm).
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support Health & Safety policy by maintaining a safe workplace and reducing lost time claims,
- Be diligent in loss prevention and look for ways to reduce leaks and spills, drive away and fuel mix ups in all petroleum areas,
- Ensure all environmental responsibilities are met,
- Ensure each weekly sales report and period end statement is analyzed and corrective action is taken to improve the area that is not meeting budget,
- Be responsible for the operation and integrity of the Gas Bars computer system and ensure all records related to invoices, markdowns, transfers, receiving, claims, invoicing, and retail price files are accurate and maintained,
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and licensed in all necessary areas,
- Visit gas bars to ensure standards in merchandise, policies and procedures are met,
- Participate in system programs and work with FCL region petroleum team in all areas to improve Central Alberta Co-op,
- Conduct weekly inspection programs and implement improvements and ensure all environmental due diligence is carried out and reports are reviewed with the Division Manager monthly,
- Conduct image checklist on gars bars on a monthly basis, review with Gas Bar Managers and ensure deficiencies are corrected,
- Assist with annual corporate planning session and complete the annual business plan and budget for the gas bar division,
- Other duties as required by the Division Manager.
Qualifications:
- 6 - 9 years of experience in a retail environment
- 3 years of experience leading a larger department or mid size location (< or = $6M revenue)
- 3 years of experience leading support services technical and/or professional staff
- Experienced in developing relationships with external and internal customers on complex issues and transactions
- Experience with coaching and providing feedback to other team members
- Ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency, and improve sales and growth margin
