By submitting the OAC Graduate Application Form by August 15th, you can apply. 1. Academic Record based only on Admission Average shall be the basis for selection. ( /40%); 2. Academic Assessment from Referees (30% overall, 15% for each referee assessment): Based on the student’s capacity for research, critical thinking skills, knowledge application, and importance of the planned research; and 3. Research Proposal: Weighted according to viability, importance, and communication.

Students who will be undertaking research or studying conservation-related topics (such as resource, water, soil, or species conservation) and who are enrolling in any full-time graduate program at OAC. Students who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) or who are from Eastern Ontario (Ottawa-Carleton, Dundas-Glengarry-Stormont, Lanark, Prescott-Russell, Leeds & Grenville, Lennox & Addington, Frontenac, and Renfrew counties) will be given preference.

  • Students from Canadian-PR-PP and Non-Canadian-PR-PP countries are also eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Subjects or Courses: The grant will be given for any graduate degree program the university offers.
  • The following requirements must be met by all candidates in order for them to be considered:
    Based only on admission average, academic record. (/40%);
    Academic Assessment from Referees: Based on the student’s research potential, critical thinking skills, knowledge application, and the importance of the planned study, this assessment from referees accounts for 30% of the final grade.
    Feasibility, importance, and communication were taken into consideration while evaluating the research proposal (/30%).

Additionally, students who have not get any OAC entry honors will be given preference.
