Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design,develop, and maintain backend applications and services thatmeet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, including frontend developers,designers, and product managers, to understand projectrequirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • DevelopRESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applicationsto ensure seamless data exchange and functionality.
  • Optimizebackend code and database queries for performance andscalability.
  • Write clean,well-documented, and testable code using appropriate designpatterns and best practices.
  • Conductthorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues,ensuring the reliability and stability of the backendsystems.
  • Collaboratewith DevOps engineers to implement and maintain deploymentpipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient release cycles.
  • Monitor andanalyze system performance, making recommendations forimprovements and optimizations as needed.
  • Stay updated onemerging technologies, industry trends, and best practicesin backend development, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Participatein code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improvecode quality and adherence to standards.
  • Collaboratewith team members to estimate development efforts and meetproject deadlines.
  • Contributeto the continuous improvement of development processes andmethodologies within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ora related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ yearsof professional experience in backend development, workingwith languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Java.
  • Strongknowledge of backend frameworks such as Django, Flask,Express.js, Ruby on Rails, or Spring.
  • Proficiencyin working with databases, including relational databases(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g.,MongoDB, Redis).
  • Experiencein developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Solidunderstanding of software development principles, designpatterns, and best practices.
  • Familiaritywith version control systems such as Git.
  • Strongproblem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability toanalyze complex issues and provide efficient solutions.
  • Experiencewith testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring codequality and reliability.
  • Goodknowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GoogleCloud.
  • Excellentcollaboration and communication skills to work effectivelywithin a team and across departments.
  • Abilityto work independently and manage multiple priorities in afast-paced environment.
  • Strongcommitment to code quality, best practices, and continuouslearning.
PreferredQualifications:
  • Experiencewith containerization technologies such as Docker andorchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiaritywith microservices architecture and related technologies.
  • Understandingof security best practices in backend development.
  • Knowledgeof serverless computing platforms like AWS Lambda or GoogleCloud Functions.
  • Experiencewith message brokers and queueing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ,Kafka).
  • Contributionsto open-source projects or personal backend developmentprojects.
