Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic partner who works closely with the business leaders and employees to align the human resources and organizational objectives with business goals. The HRBP will provide guidance and support on various aspects of human resources, such as talent management, performance management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, succession planning, retention, and learning and development.

Main Responsibilities
Human Resources Activities

· Build a good understanding of the business objectives, operations, and challenges and align human resources activities with the business goals and expectations.

· Act as a strategic advisor to leaders on all Human Resources (HR) matters pertaining to their function, recommending, and implementing appropriate actions and interventions.

· Provide guidance to leaders on application of HR policies, practices, and programs.

· Provide guidance on organizational design and structure, ensuring business operating models are driving efficiencies and in support of standardized work processes with clear roles and responsibilities.

· Partner with business leaders in building and executing their function’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) plans.

· Collect and analyze relevant data such as employee feedback, performance indicators and industry benchmarks to bring forward insights to support decision making and problem solving.

· Execute and monitor the talent management processes such as talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, career development and succession planning.

· Identify and develop the talent potential and capabilities of employees.

· Partner with HR Centres of Excellence teams (COEs) to deliver programs and policies efficiently.

· Support leaders with compensation-related matters including job analyses and design, job evaluation, and salary recommendations.

· Develop responses and act as a company representative in third party complaints process.

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress.

Requirements
Experience

Human Resources

Minimum 7 years of Human Resources experience as a generalist

o Experience leading and implementing multiple HR initiatives

o Experience coaching and mentoring Managers to drive business outputs

Education/Certification/Designation

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent

Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation*

*Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset

Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French) *

*Bilingualism would be considered an asset

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Knowledge of HR policies and processes

Ability to build talent development plans

Knowledge of DE&I, Federal employment and labour laws, and data analytics
