Certa Industries, situated in 1308 8 St, Nisku, AB T9E 7M1, is currently looking for applications for the role of Labourer – metal fabrication, who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate must start work promptly. The available positions are for Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The candidate must be available to work morning, day, and evening shifts, and must be available for overtime when required. • The candidate will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from the surfaces of metal products.
• The candidate must transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
• The candidate must assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
• The candidate will be responsible for sorting metal sheets, parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for grinding or chipping excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• The candidate must clean machines and the immediate work areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles.
• The candidate will be responsible for polishing metal products to a mirror finish.
• The candidate must read and interpret work orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must hold a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or possess equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

• The candidate must be able to work in a structural steel plant and a construction company.
• The candidate must work in a metal products manufacturing company to fabricate, assemble, and inspect metal products while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating a dolly, lifting devices, and hand tools.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must have their own transportation.
