Deep Sky is at the forefront of combating climate change through innovative carbon removal technologies. We are embarking on an ambitious project, Deep Sky One, our first commercial facility designed to make a significant impact on carbon reduction. To achieve this milestone, we are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to aid in the design and engineering of this state-of-the-art facility.
As Senior Process Engineer, Capture you will play a crucial role in designing and engineering our state-of-the-art direct air capture and direct ocean capture facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or environmental engineering, with a passion for environmental sustainability and technological innovation.
In this role, you will work very closely with the Chief Carbon Scientist and Head of Engineering to:
Design and develop efficient processes for direct air and direct ocean capture balance of plants (e.g., Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate innovative technologies from our capture partners into facility design.
Conduct simulation and modeling to optimize process performance and efficiency.
Analyze and interpret data to make informed engineering decisions.
Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
Stay abreast of technological advancements in the field of carbon capture and sequestration.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in process design and engineering, preferably in carbon capture, chemical processing, or environmental technology sectors.
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., CAD, Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
