As an integral part of a collaborative team, you will report to the President & CEO and serve as a trusted legal advisor. You will provide commercial and practical legal advice across corporate matters, construction law, regulatory compliance, and more. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional looking to influence business decisions and mentor junior counsel. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior management and Board of Directors
- Provide advice on corporate governance and compliance issues
- Draft and negotiate construction contracts and commercial agreements
- Oversee litigation and dispute resolution related to legal matters
- Lead the legal function and mentor junior Legal Counsel
- JD or LL.B. with Law Society membership
- 10+ years of corporate and commercial legal experience
- Strong background in construction law preferred
- Experience advising executives on legal matters
- Collaborative approach and strong negotiation skills
