Position PurposeThis position owns the Asset Protection function of Asset Management in Western Canada. They will implement the Asset Management strategy with the objective of maximizing asset productivity, asset recovery, and delivering CHEP’s value proposition to the equipment dealer/recycler channels. This position provides insight on Asset Recovery and interfaces with CHEP NA to ensure best practices are being followed. This position is a key driver in building CHEPs value proposition and strengthening our position in the produce sector. This position tackles some of the most hostile locations that CHEP employees will encounter.ScopeWestern Canada (4 Provinces and 2 Territories; approx. 2,000kms)Field based role with travel required 60-80% of the time, depending on locationMajor/Key AccountabilitiesEngage with and monitor pallet recycler locations across Western Canada (BC to Manitoba)Enforcement of CHEPs legal title and ownership of its assetsLead in regional legal actions against any entity that does not comply with CHEPs asset ownership and property rightsEngage with any commercial account that is uncooperative while working within the CHEP model/pool utilizing their expertise in dealing with hostile/confrontational situations/locationsEngage with local and regional authorities to help or assist in the collection and return of CHEP assetsThis position will support key Non Cooperative Distributor locations with a main focus toward fresh produce locationsDue to the high risk nature of this position, must maintain and be proactive in attending safety training sessions and be a peer leader in this spaceMaintain detailed records of all interactions, including pictures/drone footage of recycler locations that can be used in legal actionsManage process for increasing collections at recyclers with cross functional teams ie.
