I'm looking for a Tax Manager for my client, an accounting firm located on Montreal's South Shore. This is a permanent position at 37.5. The firm offers great flexibility on hours and telecommuting, as well as numerous benefits.
Duties include:

  • Supervise, train and mobilize the tax team under your responsibility;
  • Actively participate in mandate planning and make recommendations on staffing needs;
  • Offer clients value-added solutions tailored to their strategic objectives and organizational context;
  • Participate in the presentation of work results and ensure that they meet customer expectations and needs;
  • Act as designated quality controller for certain projects;
  • In collaboration with the associate, establish budgets and prepare service offers;
  • Analyze work in progress and participate in customer billing;
  • Identify internal training needs and participate in the development and dissemination of content;
  • Participate in team member performance appraisals based on the firm's competency grids.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in taxation, including at least 3 years as a Tax Manager;
  • Master's degree in taxation (required)
  • Strong team management skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French;
  • Knowledge of Taxprep software (an asset);
  • CPA professional designation (an asset)
