Key Responsibilities
Own telemetry pipeline architecture, reliability, performance, and cost Design log sampling strategies preserving incident investigation signals Shape observability practices for AI coding agents and reviews Define technical strategy and lead cross-functional projects Mentor six engineers through feedback, guidance, and example
Requirements:
~8+ years designing and launching backend systems at scale ~ Python or Kotlin experience developing distributed backend systems ~ AWS, MySQL, Flink, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Kafka, or Terraform ~ Experience operating high-volume metrics, logs, or traces ~ Strong communication across global engineering teams Bring scalable backend engineering, observability judgment, and technical leadership to Affrim’s remote Canada platform team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
