Lead Photonic’s software strategy for scalable quantum computing from British Columbia in a hybrid executive role. Shape AI-enabled engineering across complex technical systems.
As Vice President of Software Engineering, you will guide software systems, simulations, compilers, AI, and infrastructure. You will build high-performing teams, improve execution, and support Photonic’s path from research to commercialization. The role partners with hardware, systems, integrated photonics, product, and research leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and scale software engineering across core platforms and infrastructure
- Lead AI-assisted and agentic development adoption across Photonic
- Define software strategy supporting engineering, product, and commercialization objectives
- Establish development processes spanning requirements, validation, and delivery
- Mentor software leaders and strengthen governance, automation, and execution
Requirements:
- Proven success leading AI-enabled engineering transformation
- Experience scaling organizations responsible for complex technical products
- Technical credibility across architecture, platforms, automation, and lifecycle management
- Experience supporting complex hardware or scientific computing systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change-management skills
