Under the direction of the Director of Children and Families, the Operations Manager will provide high-level support and oversight to the FNFAO. The Operations Manager will oversee FNFAO’s Operations Team and will liaise with FNFAO management and AMC’s Human Resouces department on all staffing and personnel matters and will organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
Work closely with the Director of Children and Families and FNFAO management to set and implement internal policies, procedures, and systems to ensure effective service delivery .
Provide oversight and guidance to FNFAO’s operations, quality assurance, and administrative teams and ensure smooth workflow processes by assigning relevant tasks and duties.
Lead and support the development and implementation of important operations and database policies, planning, and strategy decisions.
Oversee FNFAO’s custom database, ensuring optimum efficiency by recommending database changes and coordinating the implementation of said recommendations.
Support management reporting, information flow, and organizational planning that coincides with the work of the Policy and Research Team.
Monitor and evaluate employee performance and help promote an organizational culture that encourages optimal performance and a supportive atmosphere.
Approve timesheets and requests for leave and liaise with HR when needing to submit payroll data, including but not limited to hours of work, and drafting and submitting employee payroll deduction memos.
Properly handle complaints and grievances brought forward internally and externally in a manner consistent with AMC policies and procedures.
Assist in the planning and general organizing of personnel meetings with staff, including preparing agendas, appropriate materials, and taking minutes when required.
Participate in special projects and committees as directed.
Completion of post-secondary Business Administration or Human Resources related degree, diploma, or certificate.
Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to be accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
experience in Bamboo is considered an asset.
Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
Ability to plan, balance and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and competing priorities environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics.
Time and attendance tracking are considered an asset.
Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
