Lions Housing Centres Inc. owns and operates housing and care facilities to provide accommodations for adult citizens. We provide support that looks at the whole person, not just their mental health needs, but consider their physical, emotional, social, and spirtual wellbeing.
Lions Housing Centres Inc. is recruiting for casual Tenant Companion position within the Supportive Housing department. To observe and report any changes in cognitive or health status. Actively participates in the Quality Management Program of the facility. Participates in the planning and implementing of leisure activities.
Provides general supervision, guidance and direction observing, documenting, and reporting any changes in cognitive functioning and/or health status to the Director of Resident Services. Cleans and tidies after meals and snacks encourages tenants to participate therefore helping them to feel wanted and needed.
1 year experience working with the senior, dementia care or as an Uncertified Health Care Aide.
~ Good verbal and written English communication skills.
~ Ability to flex and adapt to changes and/or situations based on meeting tenant needs and facility operations.
~ Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining and enhancing current skills and knowledge regarding dementia care.
