Roles and Responsibilities

Administrative-related Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage pre-mobilization requirements for subcontractors.
  • Ensure all subcontractors’ documentation and certificates are received, reviewed, and approved prior to their arrival.
  • Collect and maintain subcontractor insurance policies and documentation to confirm all are on file and valid throughout the project durations.
  • Work with subcontractors to track and coordinate all deliveries.
  • Collect and file daily pre-work reports from subcontractors onto the internal portal.
  • Assist Senior PM in site-related activities when necessary.
  • Support internal administrative functions to identify all documentation that is reviewed and on file.
  • Assist project team with reporting, site management, and documentation.

Construction-relatedResponsibilities:

  • Perform regular site walks to report and note progress and identify any risks/issues.
  • Assist the Senior Construction Site Manager in site-related activities when necessary.
  • Prepare and coordinate site visitors (internal and external) to ensure they are accommodated.
  • Communicate with general contractor and other subcontractors regarding on-site issues and correspondence.
  • Communicate any risk and mitigation strategies with the site team that potentially impact schedule, budget, or safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with the GC to ensure safety and reporting requirements are met and followed by all personnel on-site.

Requirements

  • 2 years of construction coordination experience or education-related experience from a recognized post-secondary institution (SAIT, NAIT or similar).
  • Willingness to obtain certifications as needed (CET, GSI, GSC, NCSO, etc.).
  • Strong background (degree is an added plus) in construction management, civil, material handling, mechanical, electrical or similar disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office and Autodesk.
  • Desire to grow within the role and organization.
