Purpose of Role: The SHE Coordinator provides assistance with the administration, and implementation of companywide occupational safety programs for Carriere Industrial Supply sites in Sudbury, Timmins and Malartic.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plans, implements, and coordinates programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
• Actively monitor and assist with the maintenance of client and internal databases and associated requirements.
• Assist with incident investigations and the incident management process.
• Administers and manages all WSIB claims, return to work activities and modified work programs. 
• Conduct facility inspections and audits as required; recommend corrective actions, prepare audit reports, communicate the results, and follow up on implementation.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that can perform the objectives above.
• Diploma from an accredited college or university, with a specialization in Health and Safety would be considered an asset.
• 3+ years of experience in a Health and Safety function, preferably in manufacturing/service settings.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization providing support and representing leadership.
• Experience with mining, oil and gas or related industries would be considered an asset.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 would be considered an asset.
