ION Print Solutions is a leading name in the printing and graphic design industry, renowned for delivering top-quality products and services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Prepress Operator with advanced graphic design skills to join our team.
You will be responsible for preparing files for print, ensuring high-quality output, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the prepress process. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our customer service and production teams.
Prepare and preflight files for print, ensuring they meet all specifications and quality standards.
- Perform color corrections, image editing, and other adjustments to optimize print quality.
- Graphic design for seamless transitions from digital design to printed materials.
- Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and new technologies to continually improve processes and output quality.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design and prepress roles within a commercial printing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant graphic design software.
- Strong understanding of printing processes and file preparation techniques including color separations and resolution requirements for both digital and offset print.
- Understand how to prepare files for CMYK printing, including converting RGB images to CMYK.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors in digital files.
- Knowledge of various file formats and their appropriate uses in the printing process.
Experience with variable data printing and digital print technologies.
- Familiarity with RIP software and imposition software.
- Certification or formal training in graphic design or a related field.
