Job Description

OSCP is looking for an Electro-Photonics expert with experience in sensing technologies, specifically accelerometers and gyroscopes. The candidate will participate in the development of integrated photonics-based motion sensors for applications like self-driving cars and autonomous drones.

One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCPS) Motion Sensing Inc. was founded in 2015 and focuses on developing Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) using Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical (MOEMS) accelerometers and Integrated-Photonics gyroscopes. The company is currently working on a fully integrated optical solution for the autonomous vehicle market.

We are seeking a candidate with expertise in electronics and photonics engineering, software interface, and optical wave interaction, propagation, analysis, and manipulation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in assembling and characterizing integrated optical devices, along with deep knowledge of micro-optical sensors, especially micro-optical resonators.

We are looking for a self-motivated, meticulous, creative leader with strong communication skills, capable of independent work with minimum supervision. The candidate should hold a minimum B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electro-photonics, Physics (Optics) or equivalent, with at least 3 years of industry experience in optoelectronics signal processing and/or Integrated-Photonics system design and testing.

Qualifications
  1. Deep knowledge in micro-optical sensors, preferably in the field of micro-optical resonators.
  2. Minimum B.Sc. in relevant fields.
  3. Minimum 3 years of industry working experience in optoelectronics signal processing and/or Integrated-Photonics system design and test is a must.
  4. Hands-on experience working with optical components.
  5. Leadership and strong communication skills.
  6. Highly meticulous and detail oriented.
  7. Tangible technical achievements.
  8. Dynamic project management skills.
  9. Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Industry experience is required.
  12. Experience in cleanroom, motion sensors, and MEMS is a plus.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for defining inertial sensors test specifications, validation needs, and verification outcomes. This work involves creating new sensing system metrics for user experience performance. Additionally, you will be involved in PIC building blocks characterization, software usage, hardware electronics collaboration, optical test setup creation, data analysis, design aspects, and procurement of parts.
